Other top cows include Lula Tortilla Burke 13 473 pounds milk 478 pounds butterfat from J H Jose Sons Newcastle and Alice Raynerd Alcartra Neil Mutton Bowmanville with 13 541 pounds milk and 467 pounds butterfat. All records achieved with twice daily milking.

Edward Morton longtime Orono resident born May 1861 on Clarke farm died July 10 after a brief illness. He and his late wife were noted for their open home and wise counsel. A Loyal Orange Lodge member for 65 years he was a St Savionr s Anglican Church regular. Funeral July 12 at St Savionr s with Rev. Dewdney officiating. pallbearers were six grandsons and family members. He leaves a sister Mrs Prudence Morgan a daughter Mrs John Morris and two sons George and Albert plus eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
