Moffatt Golden Wedding Celebrated in Orono and Lakefield

Mr and Mrs John Moffatt celebrated fifty years of marriage with a 1964 Orono Township Hall reception attended by two hundred family and friends. The couple, longtime residents of Orono with earlier years in Oshawa and Simcoe, were honored with gifts including a television set. Attendants included sons Allen and Gordon Moffatt, daughter Doris Leonard Alldread, and numerous relatives from Bowmanville Peterborough Oshawa and surrounding communities.

District hockey program forms four youth age groups

The district launches hockey for boys with four age groups under nine, 10–11, 12–13, and a Midget squad.
