New Spring Wheat Acadia Grown in Durham County 1958
E A Summers reports Acadia a new spring wheat variety grown first in Durham County in 1958. Milton Stainton obtained two bushels from Central Experimental Farm Ottawa and sowed about an acre and a half yield 53 bushels after harvesting. The sample quality is high and distribution seed planned.

Rew Mildew Resistant Barley Being Introduced
Dr. D N Huntley of Ontario Agricultural College reports that a mildew resistant barley named Brant will be distributed this spring in one bushel lots as Commercial No 1. Foundation Seed will be distributed through the Ontario Seed Distribution Committee in spring 1955. Applications should go to the Field Husbandry Department Guelph. Price is $2.50 per bushel.

Fifty Attend Evening Auxiliary Pot Luck Supper
The Evening Auxiliary held its seventh birthday meeting on Thursday February 18 at 7 pm with about fifty five attendees.
