At the February Orono Women's Institute meeting on the 15th Mrs E Hamm chaired the business session and approved a $5 donation to the Princess Alice Foundation Fund to aid youth leadership education. Dr G W Miller, Assistant Medical Officer of Health for Northumbers Durham Health Unit, spoke on Public Health and Preventive Medicine and answered questions on contagious diseases and quarantine. Lunch followed and the group closed with the National Anthem.
