Circus Themed Skating Carnival At Orono Rink
Orono Figure Skating Club presents a two night Circus Follies extravaganza at the Orono Rink on February 24 and 25. Sixty five members aged three to teens perform elephants lions monkeys bears and other circus acts with club pros in solos and duos starting at eight o’clock.

Officers Elected To Central Committee Of Scouts
The Orono Boy Scouts held their annual meeting Friday night with five attendees. Officers named include Rev. J. Kitchen as chairman and R Forrester as secretary treasurer, plus directors Warren Watt C E Miller E Rutherford Jack Reid Raye Carleton M H Staples Sid Barraball and Carman Cornish. The group approved paying 1956 registration fees and quotas for Scouts and Cubs and planned an Open Night in March or April to showcase their work. Rev Kitchen will check on a Father and Son Banquet this spring. R C Forrester reported a bank balance of 128.86 and a paper salvage drive is set for this coming Saturday.
