Holstein Banquet Honors Durham Breeders and Longtime Members
About 225 Durham County Holstein breeders and guests attended the Banquet at Cvreno United Church. Awards went to Archie Muir for 40 years as a member and to J. T. Brown for premier breeder and exhibitor, among others. Clock and trophies were presented by leaders of the association and local sponsors. A moment of silence honored H W Summers for his contributions.

Serpent Mounds Excavation Draws Visitors in 1957
The Serpent Mounds near Rice Lake two miles south of Keene hosts ongoing digs by the Royal Ontario Museum Division of Art and Archaeology in cooperation with the Department of Lands and Forests and the Serpent Mounds Foundation.
