Forestry dominates Kirby to reach district final in shaded six innings

Body Of Keith Beales Recovered Near Oshawa
The body of Keith Beales a five year old from Toronto drowned off Lymons Beach Bowmanville on August 9 was washed ashore at Pickell s Beach three miles east of Oshawa. It drifted over five miles in twelve days and was found by Edward Crawley. Provincial officers and lifesavers assisted in dragging searches near Bowmanville while relatives awaited news in Bowmanville. The child was buried in Toronto on Monday.

Judge Reserves Decision In Cecil Barnes Case

Death of George Reid at Consort Hospital Alberta
George Reid died suddenly at Consort Hospital Alberta on Tuesday August 16. Born in Cowanville district he lived near Clarke Church before moving to Alberta twenty five years ago. He retired from his New Brigden farm a year ago and moved to Kirriemuir. Funeral held in Kirriemuir Thursday afternoon. He is survived by his sister Elizabeth Reid of Toronto and brother John of Bowmanville.
