Preparations in Hespeler for the Old Boys' Reunion set billeting to 4000 guests nightly or 24000 for the week June 30 to July 6. Fred Hutchings says ample sleeping space is arranged with 2600 families already registered and hotels booked. The town of 3460 residents expects about 100000 dormer visitors from Ontario, Canada and the U.S. Local schools and public buildings will provide beds and tents.

The government will drop the 8 1 4 cent butterfat subsidy on May 1 boosting butter price. Expected rise from 45 to 55 or 60 cents per pound and possible lifting of butter rationing in May.
