Trout Season Opens Early on April Nineteenth
Due to exceptional spring weather the trout season for speckled brown and rainbow trout opens Friday April nineteenth. Walleyes pickerel and pike keep the usual May twenty fifth start. Limits include no trout under seven inches and at most twenty speckled trout per person per day. Fishermen should release undersized trout calmly underwater to improve survival.
