Jewel legends and hidden emeralds near the New Mexico border
At a border camp the elderly blind priest relays a tale of Our Lady of Olvidades and a lost emerald shrine. Dorothy Upton and Mrs. Fane listen as the priest recounts Cortez, the jewels, and a quest across centuries, while Kynaston and troops uncover a stash of rifles and a sack of green gems, signaling a larger treasure hunt.
