A parade formed at 9:45 a.m., proceeding to Shively’s Opera House for a program by the G A R and W R C, followed by ceremonies at Mountain View cemetery and school programs at Barclay High and local schools honoring veterans and the Unknown Dead.

Child Bitten by Neighbor Dog in Abernethy Area
A three year old girl, daughter of William Hughes, was severely bitten by a neighbor's dog on a minor footpath in the Abernethy district. The animal was playing with the child when it bit her face tearing the eyelid and causing deep lacerations. The wound is expected to leave scars.
