Water Shortage Delays Portland Basin Flume Work

Meldrum 15 in prison for Oregon postoffice case
Henry Meldrum former United States Surveyor General for Oregon was taken to McNeil Island penitentiary with Frank Wayne and William Carter two self confessed post office robbers. He told Deputy Marshal Griffith he was up against it and would take his medicine. Meldrum arrested in Oregon City last Saturday while playing cards and faced jail before learning his fate. He said he could not see his family immediately but was allowed a farewell visit out of regard for them.
