Members of the Derthick Mnatcal and Literary Club visited Portland Friday to attend a meeting at Mrs Algernon 8 Dresser s home on Hast 24th and Market streets. They discussed the Foster melodies and Miss Yuriel Stevens read a paper on the life and works of the composer. Mrs R Ganong performed several melodies and a letter from Mrs Ernst A Sommer was read detailing travels from New York to Germany. The next meeting will be May 25 at Mrs John W Moffatt s home in West Oregon City with lecture on Folk Lore Lange. Each member may invite one guest.
