Old faces disappear from Gladstone Park courthouse circles as the thirteenth annual session opens next week with new officers taking places.

Eight miners arrive from Ogle Mountain mines to spend the Fourth of July. Work at the mines progresses with the i stamp mill running day and night. The ledge at Pea OER Ty broadens to 10 feet and may widen by 15 feet. Mill capacity likely doubles with five additional stamps. The mine is run to maximize ore flow rather than selectivity. Overseer Reed and eight miners including Al Farelough H B Nichols Georges Pepmano Jonah Panmann Roy Grace Ed Grace James Hatton are present.
Albert Friedrichs son of C W Friedrichs was accidentally shot in the right foot with a 22 caliber rifle on Wednesday. The wound is not serious. An 1905 probate ruling declares the will of G J Trallinger valid and contest dismissed with probate granted to Erikke Trallinger without bond.
Three funerals were held Friday morning in Clackamas County. Clinton Hargroves drowned in the Willamette Canal was laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery with pallbearers from Court Robin Hood No 80 Foresters of America. A. Kelnhofer died of heart disease near Oregon near Onrog, funeral from Catholic church at New Era, interment at New Era cemetery. David Ottje died at Redland aged seven, interred in Hood River cemetery. Ottje survived by a wife and two sons.
Effie M Armatrong filed for divorce from William Armatrong in Canby Oregon after cruel treatment and abandonment following the birth of their child. She alleges he moved to Los Angeles for health reasons, refused to let her accompany him, and later abandoned the family. She seeks restoration of her maiden name Effie M Ranchouan.
District No 88 King votes to extend term and furnish school grounds at Esat Garfield. Maple Lane plans improvements to the school building. Stafford and Stone districts will add to their schools at up to 500 dollars, employing two teachers. Springwater adds another teacher. Miss Emme Fleming of Linns Mill raised 22.60 at a social.
Bayles a deputy sheriff for H W Trembath fired off a retirement joke letter to the county court claiming pay stoppage as deputy sheriff. He offered his resignation and warned the court they could manage without him. He then left Tuesday for hot springs to seek treatment for rheumatism.
