A woman about fifty was struck by an O W P electric train Nos 1007 near Morrison and Water streets on a Wednesday evening. The three car train halted beside the river bank amid house boats as a northbound freight passed. The woman attempted to cross and was struck, dying en route to Portland for medical care.
