County Fair Association stock subscrip tion underway
Half of the 201 shares needed for the Clackamas County Fair Association have been subscribed. A stockholders meeting is set for Tuesday at 2 PM in the county courtroom to elect directors. The Willamette Development League proposes a permanent fair site along the Willamette River with potential race track space and riverfront access. Monster Log Drive Slips Down Willamette Toward Oregon City
A 12,000,000 foot log raft from near Eugene drifts between Corvallis and Albany on a path to Oregon City expected around September 20. The 30 men and 8 horses crew the Spaulding Logging Co of Newberg which cut the raft for Crown Columbia Paper and Willamette Pulp and Paper Co at West Side mills.
