Jesse Curtis was released on parole after a prior drunken liquor case on the Barlow road. A new warrant was prepared, but Judge Ryan found a faulty commitment and discharged him. Prosecutors later planned another arrest while the matter proceeded.
A runaway team in Robertson caused a wreck Tuesday afternoon injuring a man who required a Portland veterinary surgeon. The wagon overturned near Theodore Clark and Walter Williams sustained knee injuries while one horse fell before the woodwork shattered and the wagon was towed to a blacksmith shop.
Wages disputes at the Oregon City Manufacturing Company spark murmurs of protest among workers. Moses P. Quint of Barlow was Monday found insane and committed to the state asylum by an attache of the institution. He is 77 years old, and the complaint sworn by his son in law BK B Irwin accuses him of senility. Quint is a widower with grown children.
Entertains Eastern Girl Miss Besie Block and Miss Nieta Harding hosted last Tuesday at 2:30 pm in honor of Miss Sophia Thomas of Baltimore.
