Lightning Strikes Binder Injures Worker Near Milwaukie
A. J. Hodge was struck by lightning while driving a binder in Hoffman's field near Milwaukie Saturday morning. The bolt struck a fence, glanced to a tree, knocked Hodge down and toppled a horse. Mrs. Hoffman had just left the tree moments before. Additional lightning damage affected a Portland area trolley car, burning a motor and controller, with service resumed after replacement.
