New Macadam Road Progress Near East Tryon Street
Messers Holder and Sohes, contractors, began grading a new macadam road last week starting at the barn near the Episcopal Church on East Tryon Street. The route runs east past Major Graham’s and Captain Kirkland’s properties to the township line, about one and a half miles from the start. An eight-man large force handles grading, with completion hoped in about two months.
