New County Commissioners Take Oath and Convene Session
The new Board of County Commissioners including John F. McAdame Joseph W. Pickett and Sterling Browning took the oath before Maj D H Hamilton on Monday Dec 5 at 11 00 am. Pickett was named chairman and Samuel M Gattis was elected attorney. Harris was named county printer. Bonds for Hillsboro Little River and Sheriff were approved and oaths administered. Office duties include tax book timing and county affairs. A Ghost Sale and Oyster Supper are planned at Schley School December 16 to fund seating. Town tax for 1904 is due and payable. Durham court is in session with a heavy criminal docket.
