The Orange International Street Fair returns for its 43rd year drawing about 500000 attendees. It features 15 country themed areas serving tamales funnel cakes sushi bratwurst and gyros plus nine stages with local bands. Organizer Mike Winger notes favorites keep crowds steady year after year.
The Orange International Street Fair runs Friday 5 to 10 p m and Saturday and Sunday 10 a m to 10 p m with alcohol sales ending 9 p m each day. Free entry. Attendees are urged to use Metrolink due to parking limits and street closures around Glassell Street and Chapman Avenue. Villa Park plans a streets rehabilitation project affecting 23 roadways with reconstructions overlays and slurry seals. The program covers over 10 000 feet of work, costing about 845 000 dollars, with six months until start and eight weeks to finish.
