Yorba Park Dog Park Approval Promises Safe Space
An environmental impact study for Yorba Park finds a dog park on part of the grounds can operate without exceeding city standards if mitigation is followed. Residents protest plan for low income housing project
About 150 residents attended a November informational meeting in Orange City protesting Citrus Community Apartments. The non profit Orange Housing Development Corp plans 20 two bedroom and 9 three bedroom units on 1.5 acres north of West Chapman Avenue between Citrus Street and Lester Drive with rents restricted to low income families. Neighbors fear traffic and impacts on West Chapman Avenue and local parking, and jeered the developer’s traffic assessment.
