Bear Awareness Day at OC Zoo Highlights Yo Yo the Bear
AWARE OC Zoo hosts Bear Awareness Day featuring Yo Yo the 260 pound black bear and neighbor Elinor to educate visitors about bears in the wilderness. Staff will set up a bear proofed campsite and discuss do not run be big be loud guidance and safety tips for encounters with bears coyotes and mountain lions. The event runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Orange County Zoo Irvine Regional Park with free activities and bear facts alongside the zoo’s $2 admission.
