El Modena honors volunteers and boosters with awards
Chapman Hills PTA celebrated 2012 Honorary Service Awards naming Ja net Carrere Lia Jones Melanie Jansen Cheryl Durman and Terri Rasmussen for long service. Mike Higgins earned Continuing Service for coordinating student council recycling and other roles. El Modena ranked 1198th by US News and 828th by Newsweek while Washington Post cited a 61 point rise. The El Modena Football Boosters announced the Third Annual Bob Lester Golf Tournament on July 30 at West Hills Club Chino Hills with dinner auction and helicopter ball drop. Early bird entries run until June 30 with alumni rates listed. Luc Sutherland earned Harding University Dean's List honors with a 3.65 GPA. Jonathan Russo won a 1000 Youth Scholarship at Ernst & Young awards for a misting system idea.
