JR Motel Approved on East Lincoln Avenue

Lincoln Avenue gains a 28 room two story motel at 428 E Lincoln Ave on a 0.61 acre site. The Planning Commission unanimously approved JR Motel with six suites three kitchenettes and 26 back parking spaces plus two near the lobby. Neighbors worry about noise and privacy mitigated by trees and strategic window placement.

Earhart Film with D C Roots Lands at Purdue University

An Orange historian donated a 16 mm film of Amelia Earhart from a 1937 Burbank photo shoot to Purdue University Indiana. Douglas Westfall praised Purdue for preserving the film in a controlled environment while making it accessible to students and researchers.
