Orange Unified approves 4.7 million in summer maintenance
The Orange Unified School District will perform over 25 campus upgrades this summer after students depart for vacation. Projects include new flooring, irrigation replacements with hydroseeding, and upgraded fire alarm and suppression systems at offices and facilities across Anaheim Hills Orange and Villa Park. Work is slated to finish by August.

Poll Shows Support for School Bond Vote
A district survey found 64 percent of voters favoring a school bond, with a 3.4 percent margin of error, as the district moves toward an official bond plan and election filing. In 2014 a $296 million bond failed with 54.6 percent.
Hilbert Museum opens with California Scene art exhibit
Chapman University runs the Hilbert Museum of California Art at 167 N Atchison St across from Orange train station. The two day grand opening showcases 200 plus lithographs watercolors and oils celebrating 1930s California Scene art. Highlights include Rex Brandt Millard Sheets Phil Dike and Emil Rosa Jr with Lee Blair’s Mary by the Sea from 1934. The collection totals 1000 pieces and will transfer to the museum over the next decade.

Ballots Due for OUSD District Trustee Election
Orange Unified School District residents await the at large vote to fill the two year remaining term of Diane Singer who moved out of the area. Greg Salas and Andrea Yamasaki are candidates with Salas stressing safe schools and technology while Yamasaki highlights PTA leadership and district service. Ballots are due Tuesday.
