After neighbors spoke, the Villa Park City Council voted 4 to 1 on Tuesday to introduce an ordinance changing Villa Drive near Valley Drive to add about six on street parking spots. Bob Bell dissented. The ordinance will be read again on May 27 before adoption as residents clash over roadside parking on the narrow street.
The Villa Park City Council approved on Tuesday backing a CERT program. Volunteers would train with the Placentia CERT team and assist neighbors during emergencies. If the Orange County Fire Authority approves the request, CERT could begin around July.

City Council voted to replace four temporary speed humps with permanent ones on Pampas Street and add a hump on adjacent Brentwood Avenue. The move follows a neighborhood effort led by Stacy Germain to curb speeding, with traffic slowing from 15 to 24 mph on Pampas and 28 mph on Brentwood after installation.
