Three people were treated after a June 11 two car collision at the Highways 34 and A junction. David Williams 31 of Glenwood sustained head lacerations while Judith Hansen 31 of Macedonia suffered knee and leg injuries and Robert Devers 36 of Glenwood received a shoulder laceration. Ford damage estimated at 1500 dollars and Hansen’s 500 dollars. State Auditor Lloyd Smith released a 12 month audit ending June 30 1976 for Glenwood Municipal Water Works finding no irregularities. Revenue from regular taxes and transfers totaled 427 266 62 with expenditures of 425 970 91. Bonded debt remained at 835 000 after a 20 000 redemption. Water pumped totaled 398 523 000 gallons. Delinquent collections stood at 3 032 60 as of December 30 1976. Revenue collected in 1975 76 rose from 149 574 96 in 1971 72 to 234 523 12 in 1975 76.

Harold Deitchler Sees Record Martin Nesting in Glenwood
Harold Deitchler, long-time martin fancier near Glenwood, reports 102 baby martins and 59 eggs in two houses as of Monday morning. He says each pair averages five babies, up from three or four, predicting a strong year for martins. Deitchler notes a decade of success with the birds and has trapped over 300 sparrows nearby.
