Glenwood Water Board approves meters and hydrant plan
The Glenwood Water Board met May 10, 1972 with Chair John Dean and members including Walter Marshall Hugh LaRue and others. They approved minutes and April reports, set rules for direct main connections, required superintendent approval on permits, planned temporary hydrants, funded hydrant installation on new nonplatted builds, and authorized a metered water contract with Pacific Junction and line plans by Kirkham Michael.

Head Start enrolls twenty students at West Elementary
During a June leave Pvt Janssen reported for duty in Memphis for one month. Twenty students enroll in an eight week Head Start program at West Elementary School in Glenwood. Evelyn Rhody, Mrs Ralph Fichter and Wyrdel Bebensee oversee daily classes.
