Correction to February accident report in Opinion Tribune
The February 9 accident report contained an error stating Terrence O Rourke 18 of Silver City drove a 1973 Oldsmobile eastbound at Sharp and Locust with a green light while Barbara Mitchell 40 of Glenwood drove a 1968 Chevrolet westbound. Mitchell attempted a left turn and struck the O Rourke vehicle. The motorists had been swapped in print.

Mills County approves grader bid and staff raise plan
The Mills County Board of Supervisors approved a 37,000 bid from Febhr's Tractor for a Champion motor grader and traded a 1968 Caterpillar unit. They also reallocated a $3,300 monthly executive secretary salary, with Ruth Hamm receiving 250 and C Glenn Hamm 50 per month. The board okayed closing 10th Street in Pacific City near Highway 34, and extended County Engineer William Stone's contract to June 30, 1977 at the current $23,210 salary.

Buckner Receives Probation After Breakin and Entering
Buckner of Silver City was given a 10 year suspended sentence for breaking and entering and will stay on probation during good behavior. Judge Leo F Connolly approved probation after a 10 year term at Anamosa Men’s Reformatory. In other district actions Cecil Brunworth of Omaha was fined 300 dollars plus costs after pleading guilty Feb 7. Douglas Biggar and Diane Martin pled guilty Feb 14 to possession with intent to deliver and face sentencing March 15.
