In Sunday night play Rupe's Pub beat Emerson Farm Supply 9-5 while Stanley Chevy Olds defeated Glenwood State Bank 5-3 and Rupe's Pub edged Roger and Lyles 8-7. Glenwood State Bank and Rupe's Pub meet Monday with Rupe's earning a forfeit 7-0. The title match is set for Wednesday Aug 5 pitting Rupe's Pub against Stony Chevy Olds.

Emery Harless Obituary From Fremont County Iowa
Emery Harless lived on a farm east of Sidney Iowa and died after a brief illness in Greeley Colorado. He married Idella Herrmann in 1925 and lived in Bartlett then worked in Omaha and Glenwood before becoming police chief. Survived by his wife, son William, two grandchildren and a brother, with services held at Peterson Mortuary in Glenwood.

Mills County Fair carcass judging crowned 4-H beef winner Bruce Bryant with a 616 pound steer, rib eye 15.2 square inches, fat cover .17 inches, yield grade 1.1. Swine winners included Donna Christensen with a 150 pound hog, 1.3 inches fat, 47.5 percent ham and loin, loin area 7.3 square inches. Open class swine winner Tom Axtell yielded 48.3 percent ham and loin. Prices paid: 86 cents per pound beef, 60 cents per pound swine.
