Shakespeare Turns Gangster in Comedy of Errors

OMVUI Probation for Two Await Sentencing in District Court
An Omaha man received one year of probation after pleading guilty to second offense OMVUI and must enroll in a drunken driving course. his license will be revoked indefinitely. Kyle Twaddle of Hastings faced guilty pleas on OMVUI and has a May 17 sentencing date. An Emerson man also pleaded guilty to OMVUI and awaits sentencing, with Leon Burton Finchem set for May 17. In other district court actions, William B. Gray of Glenwood received a one year deferred sentence after pleading guilty to Possession of a controlled substance last month. A burglary report noted entry by window breach at a home, with about $1,900 in stereo gear stolen along with weapons and other items. a citizen’s band radio was missing from a pickup.

Pair Arrests At Teen Center Disturbance
Glenwood police arrested two men after a disturbance at the teen center. John Wade of Glenwood was charged with carrying a concealed weapon and held on a $1,000 bond. Michael R. DeBoodt of Plattsmouth was released after posting $1,000 on a concealed weapon charge and fined $58.50 for public intoxication. Wade pulled a knife on manager Henry Clay. both suspects were apprehended near the Oasis following a knife search.

Injured Boy Is Hospitalized After Interstate Crash
Trent Hampton a 15 year old from Tabor remains in Jennie Edmundson Hospital with a left arm in traction after a March 28 crash on Interstate 29. He was a passenger in Greg Wolkin’s car when it struck a stopped vehicle and Hampton was then hit by another car while helping Aaron Watkins also from Tabor who had head cuts. Dense grass fire smoke four miles north of Glenwood caused the traffic tie up.

Boy Arrested On Pot Charge
A 17-year-old Glenwood youth was arrested Thursday for possession of marijuana. The boy was arrested at the Estes Hotel after police were summoned by the manager. The youth was living in the hotel.
