Tyers Celebrate Silver Wedding Anniversary at Home
Mr and Mrs E B Tyers observed their 26th wedding anniversary last Sunday with 28 family and friends gathering at their Guelph Street home for a meal. Their daughter Katharine decorated a anniversary cake and the couple received silver gifts and a bouquet of 25 roses from the children. Daughters assisted by Kay Boyle and Marion Walkinshaw helped in hosting.

Souvenirs Sent from Scotland by Mary Ferrier
Mary Ferrier, a frequent visitor to town with Mr and Mrs Grieve, is currently visiting Scotland and last week mailed souvenirs to the Grieve family. Mrs Grieve received a sprig of Heather while Mr Grieve got a replica of the Lusitania medal made in Germany to mark the sinking of the famous liner. Proceeds from the medals go to St Dunstan's Blind Soldiers and Sailors Hostel.
