Flood Disrupts Rebekah Lodge Initiation Plans
Verdun Rebekah Lodge No 184 held its March 16 meeting initiating four new members. Flood conditions forced the chartered bus from Mystic Link Lodge Toronto to abandon travel, so Verdun’s Degree Staff conducted the initiation. Mrs Robert M Corley formerly Margret Priscilla Appelbe a native of Georgetown district died March 12 in Mount Forest after a long illness. She married Robert Moore Corley in 1898 and lived at the Mount Forest area before moving to Georgetown. She later returned to Egremont with health failing. Funeral held at Mount Forest with burial in Greenwood Cemetery Georgetown. Pallbearers and flower bearers listed. friends from Mount Forest Brantford Georgetown attended.
