Junior Farmers Plowing Match Held at Hornby
Ideal weather greeted the annual Junior Farmer Plowing Match on the Clehert‑McDowell farm in Hornby Halton. Plowboys under 26 showcased walking and tractor plows with winners led by Gordon Ferguson Jack Marchmont Earl Price and others. Milton and Acton groups won special awards and a Judge's School followed with comments from Ontario Plowman's Association officials.

Twelve hundred Halton and Peel folk attended the annual Holstein and Jersey Field Day at the Ontario Agricultural College in Guelph on Saturday June 12. Morning tours visited experimental plots the dairy farm long term pastures Farm Machinery Department Poultry Department College Greenhouses and Macdonald Institute.
