Georgetown Lions Club Plans Dominion Day Weekend Festivities
The Georgetown Lions Club announces a weekend of events including a Saturday horse show with eight road and eight carriage teams and $600 in prizes, a Saturday street dance with Curly Smith orchestra, a Sunday 3 pm church service with Lorne Scots Band, and a Monday parade with floats and bicycle contests. A large garden party featuring the Jessie McGregor Concert Company closes the celebration with a $100 firework finale. The event is free for local children with public school tickets, and paid admission to the garden party.

Georgetown Juveniles defeated Oakville 7 to 2 in their second league game. Don Herrington pitched strongly for Georgetown. Spence started on the mound but moved to third after Huffman was hurt making a hard play. Hoare was absent from the lineup.

Teen Town Hall Opens Wednesday in Georgetown
Wednesday night July 3 marks the opening of Teen Town Hall in Georgetown with renovation complete enough for a first look. Bill Millieres recordings will play and a refreshment booth will be available as teens and interested adults tour the refurbished old town hall auditorium.
