Fire at Gregory Theatre Ruptures Projection Room
A Saturday fire at Gregory Theatre damaged about 500 feet of film in the projection machine. Proprietor RL Gregory and usher George Allicott evacuated around 200 children within three minutes. Fire was extinguished. repairs completed, theatre to reopen this week. Jim Croll operated the machine during the incident and ticket stubs will be honored for a future screening.

Georgetown Fair Board Approves Increased Grants and Prizes
The Georgetown Fair Board praised the County Council for a $75 grant increase this year and instructed a letter of appreciation.
