Gertrude Mary Winfield, 55, died after a lengthy illness at Guelph General Hospital on June 7. A native of England and former Glen Williams resident, she lived in Campbellville, Rockwood, and later Guelph. Survived by five children including Gordon Fricker Norval Joyce and Donald Winfield, plus seven sisters and four grandchildren. Her mother died in Milton at Easter. Capt. Fisher of the Salvation Army conducted the funeral in Guelph with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
