The Industrial Bowl No. 1 team received the bowling trophy amid a banquet with Legion No. 1 members present. Bill Korzack thanked the turkey dinner caterers and distributed collected proceeds, with each lady receiving a rose. Legion No. 2 captain awarded the Silver's team wallets and the team trophy. Sid Silver gave white shirts to each member. Anderson led playoff trophy and season high awards to Ace Bailey, Jim Reaves, Bill Anderson. Earl Wilcox won most improved bowler. Heart Attack Fatal For Legion Caretaker
Albert Edward Ted Rogers 55, caretaker at Legion Hall for three years, died of a heart attack last Thursday morning after entering the building while cutting grass. A native of Deal England he came to Canada as a child, lived in Sherbrooke Hamilton and near town on No 20 Sideroad. Survived by wife Florence Hendrick and three sons Edward George Robert. funeral conducted by Rev Kenneth Richardson with much attendance. Legion service attended the funeral home Friday night.
