Pte Gordon Browne of Norval was named in despatches in a government list issued from Ottawa last weekend. He was captured in Italy on May 2, 1944 and liberated by Allied forces just before V E Day. He is the son of Mrs. Browne and the late W G M Browne.

Mr and Mrs Cecil J Brown of Georgetown welcomed a daughter Judith Caroline at Peel Memorial Hospital on June 3 1946. Mr and Mrs Bert Raymond welcomed a son Ronald Henry at Peel Memorial Hospital Brampton on June 10 1946. Both families report mother and babies doing well.
Sudden death reported in Georgetown on Saturday June 8 1946 of Mary Edith Thornton wife of the late Arthur L Squires.
