Georgetown residents were involved in three weekend accidents resulting in injuries and a fatality. An inquest was ordered for the truck fatality. funeral services followed in Toronto. Slobodian, 33, a Ukrainian CN worker, was killed near Guelph with John Rosiak. An inquest was set by Coroner Dr. T R Pickard.

Mrs Lewis Rutledge Dies In Ontario At Omillia Hospital
The death of Ethel Melasa Switzer wife of Professor Lewis T Rutledge of Queen s University Kingston occurred at Omillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She was born near Norval and lived in Kingston for twenty years before summering in Orillia. Survived by husband a daughter Winifred and a son Kenneth plus three brothers. Funeral from her residence to Glen Williams Cemetery with services in Orillia and Norval conducted by Rev A G Emmett and Rev Arthur Leggett. Pallbearers included Professor L M Arkley Arch Thomson and others from Kingston Orillia.

Annie Elizabeth Porter widow of Thomas Hubbard died Thursday June 5 at her home on King and Queen Streets after a six month illness. She was born in London and survived by her brother Robert Porter of Newmarket. Funeral held Saturday at 1:30 pm from the home with Rev R Colebrook officiating. interment at Brougham Cemetery.
