Miss May Cheong formerly living with relatives in Georgetown wed Shaw Quan in a May 20 ceremony at Bay Street Chinese Church Toronto. Lions Hear Colonel Conover At Monday Meeting
Col R V Conover addressed the Georgetown Lions at the Hotel McGibbon dinner Monday night. He warned that Canada is the target for colonial expansion and raw materials, while England has no use for her. Ballantine praised the Lorne Scots commander and noted mobilization timing, as Canadians woke to war after Norway, Belgium and Holland events.
