Bypass study eyed for Georgetown area highway plan
The region's public works committee approved a $5,000 Philips Planning and Engineering report to explore a north of Highway 7 bypass around Georgetown linking at the 22 Record Limehouse intersection. A prior 1972 1973 study on Sideroad 32 between Glen Williams and Highway 7 was ruled out though may inform improvements. a proposed Eighth Line to Highway 7 link was also rejected. The new study may include replacing the Sidroad 32 culvert with a pipe arch while keeping the road's current alignment.
