Flying Officer Clark home on leave from overseas service
Flying Officer Leslie M. Clark arrived in Canada on Monday night after seventy months overseas with the RCAF Air Transport Command. He spoke of Cairo Alexandria and Ceylon during his service and will return to RLAF headquarters after a two week furlough. Meanwhile a fire on Norval Road damaged the Lyons homestead near Georgetown, destroying the old brick house but leaving the Becker kitchen and linking structures saved by firefighters and neighbors. Mrs. Hughes and her son John have suffered a severe loss as the home is a total ruin.
