Seal-Skin Boots Made For Local Boy
David Fletcher son of Mr and Mrs John Fletcher received seal-skin boots made by native women of the Canadian Labrador in Harrington Harbour Quebec. Mrs Audrey Sharpe arranged the gift while serving at Grenfell Mission hospital. The boots, now on display in the Herald window, are part of the family’s winter wear and require cold dry storage to prevent odour.

James Wylie aged 49, a CNR employee from Brampton and brother of William Wyllie of Georgetown, died after falling through a railway trestle opening at Brampton Fuel Yards on January 1. He suffered a fractured skull and died minutes after reaching Peel Memorial Hospital. Born in Ireland, he had lived in Brampton eighteen years and worked at Dale Ea4 elm.
