Addition Starts Plan for 1410 High School Students

Mystery Caller Nuisance Hits Teens in Georgetown Area

Injuries After Car Hits Rock Pile Near Thornhill
Mrs. John Westerhock of Thornhill was admitted with thigh bruises after her husband’s car skidded on a wet No. 7 Highway and plunged over the shoulder into a rock pile on New Year’s Day. The damage to the car was $200. A second accident occurred nearby on January 5 in front of Murt Allison Equipment Ltd. North Halton OPP reported the incident.

Ontario grants Georgetown 10,268 toward the 1967 centennial project. George A Kerr said Minister J. W. Spooner advised the Georgetown application was approved on December 29 and forwarded to the Centennial Commission in Ottawa. Purchase of the former Cedarvale School will create a central community centre and park. the town covers 50 percent, with federal and provincial governments splitting the remaining balance.
