Lions Club gave roses and cigars, with donations and guest meals. school choirs performed on Dec 16 18 23. decorations by Park Public School. Holy Cross Maple Avenue Baptist and St Francis Youth organized concerts. a $469.70 fundraising total emerged from local students and neighbors. Police logged several minor auto accidents during a week of wintry conditions with multiple property damages and injuries, including incidents on Main Street Maple Avenue Rexway Rex Charles Drive Mountainview Road and Mountainview Road South.

Mrs. C. Edgar Ruddell, formerly Sarah McGregor, who spent her girlhood in Glen Williams, died December 17 at Toronto General Hospital. Born near Brantford, daughter of William McGregor and Catherine Reid, she lived in Hamilton and Toronto, worked for Eaton’s, and was active in women’s groups at Igh Park United Church.
