Georgetown bylaw creates seven member recreation committee
Council gave two readings to a community recreation bylaw establishing a seven member Georgetown Recreation Parks and Community Centres Committee to run the arena pool Cedar Vale Centre and district programs. Georgetown council approves $30 daily pay for meetings
Georgetown council members will be paid $30 per day for attendance at special meetings and all council or committee meetings. The rule covers meetings in 1969 upon submission to the treasurer. New Doctor Joins Georgetown Medical Fraternity
Dr J David Hogan is welcomed as a new member of Georgetown's medical fraternity and opens an office at 2 Young Street in a renovated building formerly housing the Sno White Laundromat. A Toronto native and 1963 University of Toronto graduate, he trained at St Michael's College and hospital, served three years with the RCAF overseas, then studied internal medicine in Honolulu. He and his wife Josephine Hashem of Sydney Nova Scotia and their 16 month old daughter Leslie Anne are living in Bramalea.
