The Georgetown Division of the St John Ambulance Brigade held its first annual inspection on Monday night December 8 at the Legion Hall. District officers were greeted by Mrs. T Grieve and Dr. O V Williams. Members were inspected in ranks by Mrs. Ritchie and Mr. Nesbitt, with tests in bandaging home nursing and first aid by Dr. Bell.

Mission Band Christmas Meeting At Rosebud United Church
The Rosebud Mission Band held its Christmas meeting in the Sunday school room with many members mothers and friends present. June Cofen led worship and Mrs H C Wrigglesworth shared the Christmas story interspersed with carols. Dorothy Olney portrayed the spirit of Christianity on the tree and a Chinese girl’s story inspired family worship. Women’s Institute Holds December Meeting in Georgetown
Twenty five members attended the Georgetown Branch of the Women’s Institute at Mrs. Walter Peck’s home on December 3. Mrs. W. G. McDowell led the session with the ode and prayers. minutes and correspondence were read. Myre Bell reported an $8 euchre fundraiser. Miss Hayes gave a humorous reading. Roy Peck and Mrs. R. T. Paul sang two vocal solos. Committees planned Christmas cheer for the shut ins and reported on Soldiers’ Comforts boxes sent overseas.
