Matthews named manager at Smith & Stone plant in Georgetown
Ben L Matthews is appointed engineering manager at Smith & Stone Ltd in Georgetown replacing John W Belim who moves to a Montreal aeronautics firm. Matthews, a Toronto native and ceramics engineer, comes from Corning Glass Works New York after study at the University of Toronto. His wife Audrey Roberts and two sons will join him soon. Bel resigns to become VP Engineering at Canadian Aviation Electronics in Montreal, after a career at National Research Council and Smith & Stone including plant and general manager roles. The Montreal firm makes flight simulators based on a World War II link trainer concept to test pilots and save lives and equipment.

Gas Company Executives Return from Miami and Havana Trip
